DAVIS, Calif. — The Texas State University earned another win on the 2020 season when it knocked off Saint Mary's, 5-2, to start the final day of the Capital Classic. The Bobcats, however, fell to UC Davis, 4-2, to close out the five-game, three-day slate in California.
Against Saint Mary's to open the day, Texas State got the party started early as Baliee Carter, Christiana McDowell and Tara Oltmann all reached base to open the bottom of the first. Hailey MacKay pushed the Bobcats ahead when Carter scored from third on a groundout.
