HUMBLE, Texas – Jack Burke had his best finish of the season, Marcelo Garza joined Burke in the top-6 of the leaderboard, and Texas State placed third as a team at the All-American Intercollegiate at the Golf Club of Houston (Par 72, 7,067 yards) on Tuesday.
The Bobcats turned in their best placing of the season with the top-3 finish powered by a score of 10-over 874 (294-295-285). They were only three shots back of the tournament winner, Texas Tech (7-over 871; 296-288-287).
Texas State closed in on the leader with a 3-under 285 in the final round.
