SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team (2-2) never trailed Wednesday night in an 80-69 win over I-35 rival UTSA (1-2) at Strahan Arena.
Five Bobcats finished in double-figures led by Dimp Pernell's 19 points, 12 of which came in the second half, off the bench. He was 6-for-12 from the field and made 3-of-7 three-point attempts.
Recording his first career double-double was freshman DJ Hall with 11 points and 10 rebounds while also handing out four assists. Also finishing the night with 11 points was Franck Emmou, Kaden Gumbs and Makai Willis.
