SAN MARCOS, Texas – For the first time in 11 years, the Texas State baseball team is heading to the NCAA Tournament. The Bobcats were selected as the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Stanford Regional when the bracket was announced jointly by the NCAA and ESPN on Monday.
"Really excited for our guys. They worked extremely hard, put a lot of work in and were rewarded with a two seed in the Stanford Regional," said head coach Steven Trout. "Definitely a surprise to go out west but we are excited to. We didn't really care where we ended up because we got lots of faith in what we do.
