SEATTLE – Texas State was able to get the tying run into scoring position in the ninth but was unable to bring him home as Washington took the series finale 2-1 Sunday afternoon at Husky Ballpark.
The Bobcats drop to 15-22 on the season while the Huskies are now 15-16.
(2-3) took the loss as he gave up two runs on three hits while striking out four. Adam Bloebaum (1-3) picked up the win with a six-strikeout performance in 6.1 innings while surrendering a run on four hits and two walks. Davis Delorefice recorded two strikeouts in the ninth to earn his sixth save.
