CONWAY, S.C. – A throwing error in the ninth proved costly for Texas State as Coastal Carolina went on to win 8-7 in 10 innings Friday evening at Springs Brooks Stadium.
With the loss, the Bobcats are now 21-33 on the season and 9-14 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Chanticleers improve to 25-23 overall and 8-12 in conference play.
(2-3) took the loss as he allowed the game-winning run while recording three strikeouts. Alaska Abney (3-2) got the win after going four innings with seven strikeouts while giving up just a run on three walks and two hits.
