SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State football team closed out a tumultuous week and a difficult season with a 49-14 loss against No. 16-ranked Coastal Carolina on a rain-swept Saturday at Bobcat Stadium.
"It has been a long week, and it's been a long year," Texas State head coach Jake Spavital said. "It was a frustrating week with the unforeseen circumstances of the passing away of Kham (Khambrail Winters). I think those kids were trying not to show it, but they are still wearing it pretty hard. But they came out here and played.
