JONESBORO, Ark. – The Texas State soccer team fell Sunday afternoon 2-0 to Arkansas State at the A-State Soccer Complex.
With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 1-6-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the Sun Belt Conference while the Red Wolves are 4-0-0 on the season and 3-0-0 in conference play.
A defensive first half saw both teams limited to a shot apiece in the first 30 minutes. The lone attempt for TXST came from Mackenzie Smith in the 21st minute and went over the crossbar. In that time, Texas State was able to get behind the ASU backline thrice but were called back for being offsides.
