SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State soccer team (0-1-0) saw Stephen F. Austin (1-0-0) score two tough goals with the second coming with nine seconds left in the second overtime of a 2-1 setback during the Bobcats' annual Teal Match Friday night at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
For nearly the first 15 minutes, it was a stalemate as both teams shock off the rust. Mackenzie Smith recorded the first shot attempt of the season with a header almost a third of the way through the first half.
In the 17th minute, Trinity Clark attempted to pass to Sydney Kammer sprinting down the middle of the field near the 18-yard box.
