PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.- No. 9 Texas State upsets No. 8 Appalachian State 4-2 in the opening match of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.
"We had a lot of things going in our favor today," said Texas State women's tennis head coach Tory Plunkett. "The players stepped up and took advantage of the opportunity and played very well. It was a good team win! We are very proud of the team. We are going to enjoy the win and then tonight we will bring the team together and prepare for tomorrow.
