SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State had timely two-out hitting and got solid pitching to win Saturday's series finale 4-1 over Georgia Southern from J.I. Clements Stadium.
With the win, the Bobcats improved to 25-26 on the season while the Eagles fell to 27-25 overall. Both teams are now 13-14 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Austin Eaton (4-2) struck out four in 5.1 innings and allowed just one run on four hits to pick up the win. Carson Laws earned his eighth save after striking out three in two scoreless innings.
