SAN MARCOS, Texas – Freshman scored the lone goal of the match as the Texas State soccer team defeated Incarnate Word 1-0 in the regular season opener at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
With the victory, the Bobcats are 1-0 on the season while the Cardinals begin the year 0-1. It also extended TXST's undefeated streak to 14 matches, tying the program record that was set from Sept. 21 to Nov. 9, 2008.
UIW controlled match for most of the first half. The Bobcats started to push press on the visitors late in the period.
