ARLINGTON — Texas State certainly didn't do itself any favors on Tuesday night against UT Arlington.
The Bobcats, after all, missed more than half of their free throws and consequently suffered a 75-69 setback at the hands of the Mavericks inside the College Park Center.
While Texas State (12-15, 6-12 Sun Belt) trailed UTA for most of the first half, Danny Kaspar's team remained within striking distance until the hosts closed out the opening frame on a 7-0 run. As a result, the Mavericks (20-9, 11-7 SBC) buried the Bobcats into a 39-28 hole as both teams walked back to their respective locker rooms.
