Texas State has every reason to think that a deep run at the Sun Belt Tournament in New Orleans won’t happen.
The Bobcats are 0-6 this season against the top three seeds (Little Rock, Louisiana-Monroe and UT Arlington). Should you include the top four, they’re 1-7 (Texas State beat Louisiana-Lafayette on Feb. 20 inside Strahan Coliseum).
The only two teams the Bobcats have a better than .500 record against this season in conference? South Alabama (the No. 8 seed) and Arkansas State (not even in the conference tournament field).
