When Texas State takes the court in early November, its four guard, one forward offense won’t be the only new thing to see.

The Bobcats will almost have as many newcomers (six) as returners (seven). It has been another offseason characterized by turnover for Danny Kaspar’s team — and not just because players have exhausted their eligibility. Forward Anthony Roberson and guard K.J. Malveau both elected to transfer, making that five such moves during Kaspar’s three-plus seasons at the helm.

Outside of those losses — Roberson was a brilliant rebounder and solid defender while Malveau provided important minutes off the bench as the back-up point guard to Ojai Black — Texas State says goodbye to its most prolific rebounder and scorer from last season (Emani Gant) and its three-point specialist (Ethan Montalvo).
