Big Inning Too Much for Bobcats to Overcome

CONWAY, S.C. – A 6-run second inning by ULM (26-29) was too much for the Texas State baseball team (36-19) to overcome late Wednesday night at Brooks Springs Stadium in the Sun Belt Conference Championship Tournament. The Bobcats fell 8-0 to the Warhawks and fall into the losers' bracket.

Suffering the loss was Nicholas Fraze (6-4) after giving up six runs on six hits and five walks in three innings. Trey Jeans (5-8) earned the win after tossing 7.2 scoreless innings while allowing only three hits and striking out four.

The Bobcats' bullpen held ULM to just two runs, both in the eighth, over the final six frames.
