SAN MARCOS, Texas – A trip to California is now on tap for the Texas State baseball team to take on Sacramento State for a three-game series beginning on Saturday. Both teams had weekend openings following COVID issues in previously scheduled opponents.
The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. CT. Sunday's finale sees first pitch at 9 a.m. CT. No fans will be allowed to attend any of the games at John Smith Field.
It will be the second series meeting between the two programs. They first played each other in 2013 when both were members of the Western Athletic Conference.
