SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (8-1) won its sixth consecutive game Thursday night 7-3 over UTRGV (5-3) at Bobcat Ballpark. The Bobcats are off to their best start since the 1991 team began the year 11-1.
(1-1) earned the win after throwing a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts. Taking the loss was starter Deryk Serbantez (0-1) as he only recorded one out and allowed the first three Bobcat runs.
