SAN ANTONIO – On a cold, windy afternoon, the Texas State baseball team went into Roadrunner Field and defeated I-35 rival UTSA 8-3 on Tuesday.
With the win, the Bobcats improve to 8-4 overall while the Roadrunners fall to 7-6.
Earning the victory, the first of his career, was Garrett Herrmann (1-0). The junior right-hander went 5.0 innings and striking out four while giving up three runs on three hits and three walks. Suffering the defeat was Shane Daughety (1-1) as he gave up two runs on four walks and one hit.
