TUSCON, Ariz. – After posting a first round of 301, the Texas State women's golf team improved in round two with a 297 at the MountainView Collegiate Invitational hosted by Missouri Friday afternoon. The Bobcats are currently sitting in 12th place at the event.
Lora Assad led the Bobcats with a combined score of one-under-par to sit in a tie for sixth place. She shot a first round 73 and backed it up with a 70 to finish as one of eight players under par for the day. Assad's second round featured four birdies to just two bogeys and she finished four strokes better than the next player in her group.
