SAN MARCOS, Texas – Following an impressive two-game performance in the Good Sam Empire Classic, Texas State men's basketball senior Caleb Asberry was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week. It is the second time he has earned the weekly honor in his career.
"I think (Caleb's honor) is well deserved," said head coach Terrence "TJ" Johnson. "We appreciate the recognition around the league. Caleb had an outstanding tournament. He found multiple ways to impact winning on both ends (of the court)."
"Caleb is becoming a three-level scorer and a much-improved defender.
