Yamamoto to Dodgers, per reports

MLB Rumors: The Los Angeles Dodgers and pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto have agreed on a free agent contract, per multiple reports. The 25 year old righthander, who has spent his professional career thusfar pitching for the Orix Buffaloes of the NPB, is getting $325 million over 12 years, per Jeff Passan.

Yamamoto was considered the top non-Ohtani free agent on the market. Having just finished his age 24 season, he’s younger than most free agents, and he has been dominant in Japan, putting up a 1.82 ERA in seven seasons, including a 1.16 ERA in 171 innings over 24 starts in 2023.
