Willie Calhoun has been activated from the injured list, the Texas Rangers announced today. To make room for him on the 28 man roster, Scott Heineman was optioned to the Alternate Team Site yesterday.
Calhoun will reportedly be largely limited to DH duty for the time being, but manager Chris Woodward wants to get him as much time as possible over the final thirteen games of the season, so I would expect to see him in the lineup at DH and batting in the first few spots going forward.
