ARLINGTON -- Will Sunday be D-Day?
Still with a chance to return from a broken hamate bone in his left hand in less than three weeks, Delino DeShields played a third consecutive rehab game Saturday. He was the DH for Double-A Frisco. DeShields walked twice and flied out. He is 3 for 7 with a pair of walks in three games.
Now the Rangers, starved for offense from center field, must determine if three days of at-bats are enough to get him back into the lineup.
"His hand is still getting some strength back," Rangers manager Jeff Banister said.
