One man had a strong impact in the development of two of them.
It is a remarkable accomplishment.
"Actually, it's not," Jeff Bagwell said Saturday of his first major league hitting coach, Dallas' Rudy Jaramillo. "Not if you know Rudy. I'm not surprised about this. That's how good he is. He wears hitting on his sleeve. The amount of time, effort and energy he put into my swing was unbelievable. He just pushed and pushed and pushed."
Said the other prized pupil, Ivan Rodriguez: "What he taught me was discipline.
