Victor Rojas, the former Texas Rangers radio announcer and, until last week, an announcer on Anaheim Angels broadcasts, is being named the new President and General Manager of the Frisco Roughriders, per J.J. Cooper on Twitter.
Rojas was with the Rangers broadcast team from 2004 through 2009, joining the Angels’ television broadcast team for the 2010 season and continuing with the team through the 2020 season. Rojas wrote a couple of months about seeking out and getting an interview for the Angels’ vacant general manager job after Billy Eppler was let go at the end of the 2020 season, and just two days ago publicly announced he would be leaving the Angels broadcast team to do something new.
