Angels 6, Rangers 5
- And an outing where Jacob deGrom proved to be mortal.
- deGrom allowed three runs in five innings of work, two of which came courtesy of a Travis d’Arnaud home run, causing ugly flashbacks of being terrorized by backup catchers. d’Arnaud later had an RBI double off of Shawn Armstrong, so he accounted for half of the Angels’ runs.
- What was particularly notable about deGrom allowing three runs is that it was the first time he has allowed that many runs since April 11, his third start of the season.
