The Texas Rangers retiring No. 10 is about more than just Michael Young's legacy, it honors the culture he helped create

ARLINGTON - The Adrian Beltre number-retirement ceremony earlier this month was apparently such a success, the Rangers are going to do it all over again in August.

They will gather people on August 31 - when it's sure to be a cool 105 degrees or so - and roll video highlights, make speeches (maybe even a proclamation!) and say generally wonderful things about Michael Young.

On the way to retiring the number 10 in his honor, it will be mentioned that he played more games for the Rangers than any other player, that he had more hits than any other player and that he was the conscience of the team for more than a decade.
