The Rangers' young hitters are in the School of Hard Knocks, and it's not going to get any easier

ARLINGTON -- The Rangers' younger hitters are in the School of Hard Knocks. They are expected to learn from negative experiences.

They got the full boat in a weekend series against powerful Boston.

The Red Sox, with the best record in the American League, took the four-game series with a 6-1 win on Sunday at Globe Life Park. At 13-23, the Rangers are a season-worst 10 games under .500.

"Each of these guys, it will benefit them greatly going forward," manager Jeff Banister said. "Does it feel good right now? Absolutely not.

"It is part of the process.
