With Nathan Eovaldi missing at least the rest of the regular season and the Texas Rangers still trying to make a postseason spot, the club could look outside the organization to bolster the rotation. As it happens, Andrew Heaney might have just fallen into Chris Young's lap.
Heaney has spent most of the season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. However, it appears the team didn't want him to make it to 130 innings pitched for them. Had he done so, he would have earned an additional $100,000. So instead, one of the worst run, cheapest teams in baseball, but him loose and designated him for assignment.
