Texas Rangers sign Kyle Gibson (offically)

The Texas Rangers have officially signed free agent righthanded pitcher Kyle Gibson, the team announced today. With Gibson being added, the 40 man roster now stands at 39.

Gibson’s deal is, per reports, a 3 year, $28 million deal with $3 million in potential incentives. The deal is slightly front-loaded, as Gibson will make $11 million in 2020, $10 million in 2021 and $7 million in 2022.

We learned over a week ago that Gibson and the Rangers had agreed on a three year deal pending a physical, and I suspect the final announcement was delayed just because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
