Evan Carter is back, per Texas Rangers president of baseball operations Chris Young, who informed the media today (per the beats) that Carter would be joining the team
Carter, 22, was one of the top prospects in all of MLB heading into 2024, and had a starring role for the Rangers in September, 2023, as well as their postseason run that culminated in a world title. However, back issues, which have plagued him throughout his professional career, sidelined him for most of 2024, and he started the 2025 season in AAA Round Rock, as the team worked with him on adjusting his swing to put less pressure on his back.
