Texas Rangers News: An unlikely hero, a wild entrance, and a surprise rebound

If the Texas Rangers are going to find a way to make it to the postseason this year, they're going to need to have several of their Plan B players step up big time. The club is the walking wounded right now, with the previous loss of Evan Carter and Marcus Semien for the rest of the season. And then on Tuesday, they announced that Nathan Eovaldi will likely miss the rest of the year as well.

One "Plan B" player did step up on Tuesday night in game two of a pivotal series against the Los Angeles Angels.
