Texas Rangers news: AL race back on, pitching gets shuffled and Josh Jung isn’t done

The Texas Rangers are officially back in the AL playoff race. Thanks to a second straight win over the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers, Bruce Bochy's squad started the second half of the season playing perhaps its best baseball of the season. Maybe the All-Star break was enough to let a talented team hit the reset button.

Starting pitcher Kumar Rocker has certainly hit the reset button. His 6.1 innings of 1 hit, and no earned runs on Saturday night was a masterpiece. And thanks in large part to a pitching staff that's been among the best in baseball, the Rangers are now just 6.
