Texas Rangers, Josh Jung reach agreement, per report

The Texas Rangers and Josh Jung, their top pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, have agreed to a deal, according to Evan Grant. Grant says the Rangers have also reached a deal with their second overall pick, Davis Wendzel, confirming a report from Jon Heyman earlier today.

Jung, a third baseman out of Texas Tech, was picked #8 overall, a pick with an allotted slot amount of $5,176.900. There are no indications as to how much his bonus is, although there was some thought that he would potentially be slightly under slot, as he was seen as unlikely to be picked by another team in the top 10.
