Texas Rangers transactions: Tim Federowicz has been added to the 40 man roster and the active roster, the Rangers announced today. To make room for him on the 40 man roster, the Rangers have moved Joey Gallo to the 60 day injured list.
The Gallo move is purely procedural, as he is eligible to be activated from the 60 day injured list on Saturday, should the team choose to do so, and is simply the most expeditious way of creating a 40 man roster spot since it doesn’t really impact his ability to return.
