The 2017 season has been frustrating for the Texas Rangers. A team that is loaded with talent, but is being dragged down by their bullpen. Going into the season the Rangers thought they had one of the strongest pens in the league, but they were wrong.
The Rangers kicked off the 2017 season with Sam Dyson as closer. He was reliable for the team in 2016, so Texas figured he’d be the guy to lock down the ninth inning role. That was not the case and Dyson quickly lost his job in Arlington.
Through 17 appearances Dyson went 1-6 with a 10.
