Stroman to the Yankees, per reports

The New York Yankees have agreed to terms with free agent starting pitcher Marcus Stroman, per reports. The deal is reportedly for $37 million over two years, with a third year vesting option for $18 million that is triggered if he throws 140 innings in 2025.

This is less than I think was expected for the 32 year old righthander. Stroman had a $21 million player option for 2024 with the Chicago Cubs that he declined to re-enter the free agent market. When we did our poll on signing Stroman, the projections had him at 3 years for $21-22M per year.
