The Texas Rangers have purchased the contract of pitcher Nick Snyder and recalled infielder Nick Solak. Joe Barlow has been placed on the injured list with a blister. Charlie Culberson had been placed on the COVID-19 list. To clear a 40 man spot for Snyder, John King has been moved from the 10 day injured list to the 60 day injured list.
Snyder, 25, is a righthanded reliever who was a 19th round pick in the 2017 draft. An infielder converted to pitching, he has blown up this year, putting up a 2.45 ERA in 33 innings between high-A, AA and AAA, with 47 Ks against 5 walks.
