San Antonio Missions, Milwaukee Brewers agree to two year player development contract

The Milwaukee Brewers and the San Antonio Missions have announced a two year player development contract, per Tom Haudricourt on Twitter. This means the new AAA team in San Antonio will be a Brewers affiliate at least through 2020.

The Texas Rangers were initially seen as likely to move to San Antonio from Round Rock (since their deal with Round Rock expired at the end of 2018, and the Nolan Ryan Family-controlled Express were going to go back to being a Houston affiliate once that was up), but the issues with sub-par facilities led to talk that the Rangers were less inclined to move to San Antonio.
