ARLINGTON -- The Rangers have agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal with free-agent pitcher Andrew Cashner, according to Major League sources. The Rangers have not yet made the signing official.
Cashner, 30, played at Texas Christian University and has long been of interest to the Rangers in trade discussions with the Padres. He spent last season with the Padres and Marlins, going a combined 5-11 with a 5.25 ERA in 27 starts and one relief appearance.
