Veteran left-hander Martin Perez has reached agreement on a one-year, $4 million contract for a reunion with the Texas Rangers, according to multiple reports.

Friday's deal, which is pending a physical, was first reported by The Athletic.

Perez is 63-69 with a 4.71 ERA in 221 career games. The 30-year-old lefty played the past two seasons for Boston, going 10-13 with a 4.65 ERA while starting 34 of his 48 games, and was 7-8 with a 4.74 ERA last year.

Texas initially signed Perez as a 16-year-old out of Venezuela in July 2007, and he made his big-league debut with the Rangers in 2012.
