The Texas Rangers pulled off perhaps their best win of the 2025 season when it was needed most and it strikes an odd similiarity to another legendary walk-off in franchise history.
After falling behind to the New York Yankees early on Monday, 3-0, the Rangers rallied for four runs in the second inning to take a one run lead. However, a Giancarlo Stanton line shot two innings later turned that lead into a deficit once again where it remained until the bottom of the ninth inning.
Down to their final two outs and trailing 5-4, Joc Pederson stepped to the plate.
