Texas Rangers reliever Chris Martin is expected to miss four to six weeks with a left calf strain, manager Bruce Bochy said Monday.
Martin, 39, was placed on the injured list after suffering the injury during Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers.
He has been a reliable late-inning option for the Rangers this season, posting a 2.36 ERA, 36 strikeouts and just 6 walks over 34 1/3 innings this season. He also has two saves.
