ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- The Texas Rangers have recalled outfielder Michael Choice from Round Rock and optioned left-hander Alex Claudio to the Triple-A team.
With the moves before Wednesday's game against Oakland, the Rangers had an extra bench player with outfielder Shin-Soo Choo still improving from back spasms and utility player Adam Rosales feeling ill.
Choo was out of the lineup for the second game in a row, though manager Jeff Banister said he could ''be a bat of the bench for us'' late in the game.
