CHICAGO -- The Rangers placed left-hander Matt Moore on the 10-day disabled list on Saturday with right knee soreness. In a corresponding move, the club recalled Ariel Jurado from Double-A Frisco to make his Major League debut in Saturday night's game against the White Sox.
Moore, who has a 1-5 record with a 7.99 ERA in 10 games this season, lasted just 3 2/3 innings in the Rangers' 12-5 win over the White Sox on Friday night. Moore allowed five runs (four earned), struck out five and walked three.
Jurado will be the first Ranger to make his big league debut with a start since Chi Chi Gonzalez on May 30, 2015.
