Rangers pitching coach on high pitch counts for high schoolers: 'As an industry we should be pissed off'

CLEVELAND - Rangers pitching coach Doug Brocail did a literal double take Monday.

The subject: Pitch counts. For high school pitchers.

Told that there had been at least four examples of DFW high school pitchers recently exceeding 120 pitches in big games, Brocail launched into a long monologue about the dangers of such high counts.
