NEW YORK - Watching his bullpen blow a big ninth-inning lead Wednesday for the second time in a week may have shaken Rangers general manager Jon Daniels, but it's not enough to scramble him into a making a move.
Five days after the bullpen without Sam Dyson allowed Boston four runs in the ninth to erase a three-run lead, the bullpen - with Dyson this time - allowed five runs to erase another three-run lead in a 9-7 walkoff loss to the Yankees.
Daniels will remain calm and GM on.
That means he remains on the lookout for pitching upgrades, both in the rotation and the bullpen, but that he won't simply react to ugly losses with moves.
