Rangers extend qualifying offer to Yovani Gallardo

The Texas Rangers have extended a qualifying offer to free agent pitcher Yovani Gallardo

The Texas Rangers have extended a qualifying offer to free agent pitcher Yovani Gallardo, the team announced today.

Gallardo has until Friday, November 13, 2015, to accept the offer. If Gallardo does accept, he will remain the Rangers property under a one year, $15.8 million contract for the 2016 season. If Gallardo does not accept the qualifying offer, he will be a free agent, and any team that signs Gallardo will forfeit a draft pick, with the Rangers receiving a compensatory supplemental first round pick.
