The Texas Rangers have claimed pitcher Art Warren on waivers from the Seattle Mariners, it was announced today.
Warren, 27, was a 23rd round draft pick of the Mariners out of Ashland University in Ohio in 2015. Warren was brought up to the majors in September, 2019, after having spent the year with the AA Arkansas Travelers, where he put up a 1.71 ERA in 31.2 IP over 29 games, with 41 Ks against 13 walks.
Warren did not allow a run in 6 games in the majors for the M’s in September, 2019, spread over 5.
